Owner & Lead Designer

Aryn guillory

I’m a proud native Houstonian with a love for interiors and all things design. After graduating from Baylor University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Family and Consumer Science, I worked for nearly 13 years as a health and safety professional for a large electric power and gas pipeline company.

In 2015, my husband and I found a lot on Oyster Creek near Houston that immediately captured our hearts. God had a big plan for us on Oyster Creek and we were excited about this next chapter He had in store for us. Soon after we purchased the lot, we started the design process of building our first custom home from the ground up.

During this process, I truly discovered a passion for interior design and an appreciation for architecture, custom trim work and cabinetry, trade lighting, and interior furnishings. I started documenting our building process on social media and before long, friends and friends of friends, and neighbors began to ask me for design help.

In the spring of 2019, I retired from “corporate America” and became a stay-at-home mom for about a month. Clearly that did not last long, and I decided to work full-time as lead designer and owner for Oyster Creek Studios.

PROJECT DESIGNER

Jenny Ureche

Jenny is a native Houstonian and a proud girl mom, who has always had a passion for color and design. After attending the University of Houston, her path led her into working in various creative industries and she never looked back. Graphic Design, Product Development, Social Media Marketing and then most recently in the Wedding Industry as a calligrapher, and invitation designer, Jenny’s experience in multi-facet creative companies taught her all about mixing pattern and color, problem solving and pushing herself outside of her comfort zone. After her second daughter was born, she was ready to “retire” from the wedding industry, and tap into a field she had loved since she was a little girl - interiors. Using her strengths from a variety of creative backgrounds, Jenny went to work for an antique buyer, and local designer to learn the field, later joining Oyster Creek Studios in 2020. Jenny’s favorite part of the design process is procuring, styling and marrying the client’s desires with the Oyster Creek vision. She provides a fresh take on color, a bold confidence in mixing patterns and pushing the barriers in her work. When she isn’t in the office, Jenny loves to spend time with her girls, and loves trying new restaurants with her husband. She believes that no matter the budget, everyone should come home to a space they love and the people they love!

Operations & Logistics Coordinator

Kerry Richards

While born in Scotland, Kerry has called Texas home for years. After graduating from Texas State University with a BBA in Finance, Kerry’s career led her to the fast-paced world of corporate banking and then into the energy industry. After 12 years in these roles, she "retired" from corporate America with the goal of bringing her skill set (Kerry thrives on organization and has a "numbers brain”) to a creative environment consistent with her personal passions. Kerry has always had a love for fashion and design. At Oyster Creek, Kerry does just that as she provides processes and operations assistance to the Oyster Creek team. When away from work, Kerry enjoys spending time with her children (she is a busy mom of two), traveling, and enjoying time outdoors.
